Two of the boards made enough strips to cover the hull. BTW: That's $200+ of saw dust on the floor.



I struck a line halfway between the sheer and chine. I started parallel to that line, at the bottom. I let the strips take the natural sweep as they twist and turn.



After, lots of sanding. I used 2" plywood strips where I was going to paint. I don't think this saves any money. The 2" strips were to match the rest of the boat if the pattern showed though... it didn't.
