Strainers are optional. But, I'd rather clean one of these out on the water than try to clean out a hot engine.

The sole still needs UV protection and caulking. They're just sitting in there right now they will fit together a little tighter in the end.

The guards are time eaters. Fairing them to match a constantly changing surface is slow.
