| Photos at right and below show NORDCOASTER being built in wood/ply/epoxy by Rich Hanenburg in Washington, who is doing an outstanding job. |

|
Hull framing consists of husky double gusseted sawn wood frames and plenty of longitudinal stiffeners for planking reinforcement. |

|
Plywood planking has begun. Note how bottom longitudinals purposely do not end directly over frames at their forward ends. |
While sheet plywood is used on sides, the bottom uses plywood cut into strips in a double-diagonal format. |

|
Fiberglassed hull is ready to right. Note the two forms Rich made; these along with a small crane make quick work of this task. |
Cutting out for the pilothouse windshield windows.Cabin sides will be fiberglassed later. |

It's beginning to look like a real boat (and a lot larger than its length would seem). |
You don't get this kind of attention to detail on most production boats! (aft cabin door). |
