Re: I would like to sell my TNT.......

I didn't expect to get $3000 for mine either, but $800 is VERY disappointing. I could probably get $800 for the 40 hp Evinrude alone, sell the trailer for $300 and make firewood out of the boat....ok, maybe not make firewood!

Re: I would like to sell my TNT.......

Wow...that is very dissapointing. I have almost $3000 in my build ( this includes trailer, boat, motor and ALL accessories). And that does not include the labor.

To give it away for that seems wrong.

Building the Zip and I need some Motor advise...

You see, with the extreme costs of outboards ( in my opinion ) I am having a spirited debate with my son regarding how old a motor I should use on the boat. I want to put a 40 HP on the zip and was hoping to buy a motor for $1000 or less. This would usually require an older motor. My son insists ( y...

Paint over epoxy question..

I am encapsulating the interior of mt TNT. I plan to paint the interior and was wondering if I need the 2 coats of epoxy if I am going to also prime and paint over the encapsulation? Or do you recommend the 2 coats of epoxy regardless?

Re: Getting ready to encapsulate my TNT build....

thank you upspirate. I was actually thinking of painting where there will not be carpet. Like the transom area for example. I just wasn't sure of 1 coat of epoxy and one coat of marine paint was equal to 2 coats of epoxy. At the cost of this epoxy, I don't want to waist it with more coats than are n...

Getting ready to encapsulate my TNT build....

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how many coats of the encapsulating epoxy I should use? Reason I ask is I am going to paint over the epoxy and glue carpet down. I seem to remember someone saying to put 2 coats of epoxy on, but if I am painting over the epoxy, do you still recommend 2 coats? Th...

Bumper trim for TNT build

I want to put a trim piece around the boat to help protect it against piers etc. I know they make an aluminum strip with a black or white rubber piece that saves the boat finish when rubbing up against piers. I can't seem to find any (probably because I don't know what it is called)! Ya think that m...

Painting with Epoxy paints from Home Depot???

I want to paint my TNT and someone suggested I could use an 1 part epoxy paint from home depot. I found some gloss white which would be perfect. I do plan on fiber glassing the bottom. Will this paint work? Or more specifically will it be durable for water use? The boat will be trailered to the wate...

Re: I need trailer advice for my TNT build

Thank you all for your help. UPSPirate: I will be in fresh water and mostly local use. I am in the Chicago area so have access to many lakes/rivers in northern IL. and WI. Can you be more specific as to type/size etc of the wave runner trailer?? The HF trailer would need to be modified, this is the ...

I need trailer advice for my TNT build

It is time in mt TNT build to start looking into trailers. I saw that harbor freight has an 850# trailer for $189. (Maybe modify that one)??? I would like to purchase one but I don't know what size/kind to get. Can the TNT boat builders tell me what trailer they are using, or which ones to consider?...

Re: Gas tank in my TNT...

Here is a link to the one from Walmart. I didn't plan on making it removable. That is why I was asking if there were any plans/directions to mount a tank in the bow. Maybe this isn't even the right tank for this application. Hence my request for your recommendations. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Attwoo...
