Re: Who's Going and Where

I can't make it this year, there is too much going on , life is in my way.
But, not all is lost, this stuff is at least boating related,
I'm in the involved process of getting USCG MMC before my surgery, then wait for the credentials to come in while I'm recovering.

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

The thinnest kerf on a table saw I got was to use a skilsaw blade, 7 1/4" blade, thinnest kerf for that size.
depending on the thickness required you may still get enough depth of cut.

Re: Who's Going and Where

If, the moon and the stars align, and I can make it, I will show up for Friday lunch in a car.
Drive the rest of the way.
No boat seat for me this year.

Re: Who's Going and Where

There is appearing to be a narrow window of opportunity that I might be able to drive with no boat, and at least have lunch.
Does anyone have a couch I can crash on?

He sold his little Ski King boat, sold it to a lake property operator there in Oregon. If Bob Maskel is reading this, he should call Ski Ki...

Radar and wood boats......are we stealth technology??

Perhaps this topic is geared towards the 'True Grit' guys, but I am interested in the image our boats show on marine radar. It is my understanding that radar (safety and search function) cannot see a wood boat, nor fiberglass for that matter. Therefore our wood boats would be so-called 'stealth' tec...

Re: The same old question, which one for me!?!

Thev interior layouts are generally not in the plans. The plans for the most part give you a running hull. You can detail the interior to suit yourself. Many of us have changed about the interior layout. Some designs you can stretch the length, and that is a very sound way to get a bigger boat cheap...

Re: G-13 Lunch Run to Chattanooga 9/13/19

It's not looking good for me bringing the Tahoe or the Bartender this year. I can't seem to get the Bartender deck finished and the boat cleaned up. I did some damage to the Tahoe last year leaving the dock. That is reparable. But, now I have the glass blistering on the transom. Shit. I haven't bee...

Re: Who's Going and Where

Ken All of these one arm comments apply to you too. Well.... except the singing part!? Bill Not just my arm, but money is tight, as well as testing/studying. I'm declared myself totally OUT of the aircraft maintenance business. I have applied for early social security. I am currently taking courses...

Re: Barrelback 19 planing

It's one to one no matter which direction correct? Just have to not forget about which way to shift. The prop I started with is a left hand. no, that transmission is to turn the same direction as the engine rotation. you do not run that transmission in reverse to run an opposite turning prop. If yo...

Re: Barrelback 19 planing

That looks like a 1:1 Velvet Drive?
How did you get a R/H wheel for that set up?
Because I never heard of a R/H rotation 2.5L engine.
I only know of those being standard rotation.
Do you actually have a reverse rotation 2.5L engine?
