Re: Fisherman

Recheck your frame and rolling stand to make sure they are square, level and plumb. Doesn't take much to lose an inch if this is not perfect.

Re: question re finish

Bob-
That would be the only way to fair the hull other than maybe risking sand thru of a thin veneer. The 2 part finishes are very thin and would not be in any way helpful in leveling the surface.

Re: Mercrusier 140 ,Starts, runs, and dies !

I think you are right it is running out of gas. might have to run thru the fuel system checks again. Maybe break down the carb and check the float drop. Is the motor at an angle? that can cause gas in the float bowl to be incorrect. carb
might need a wedge plate

What do you have to do after it “dies” to get it started again?

yes you can. most builders seem to open this up to make 2 front seats with a bench seat in the rear.

Re: Bob's Geronimo, scuffed hull help

Bob
It looks like you are down to/thru the primer in the scratch area?
If so, it might be good to mask off the area you scratched and sand that area to prep for paint. Then recoat. When dry you can feather that patch area into the rest of the hull using Robertas post above.

All samples seem good in color individually. If you are staining to homogenize variations between strakes, it
looks like there is already a red (warm) tone to the wood, so would use the Brown Mahogany (brown shares all the colors in its composition)to pull things together.

Should be perfect if grain is not too wild.
