Re: The Freebie Zip

No, ... I still have it under tarps in the driveway. The city stopped giving me crap about it since I have no backyard. I still want to get rid of it since i am unable to ride in them due to medical issues, ... took a bad fall at work, broken hip, 4 hernias and a few front teeth are now missing. Reg...

Re: STOLEN Trailer and BOAT(S) ALERT ****** RECOVERED ******

I think these where tweakers or similar. The Tiny Tack only has a life span of 5 years, it had one left and they cut the wires a foot or so from the unit and requires the same type of wire to replace it. The tank in the white boat was old and about to split and the kill switches can be bought for $1...

Re: Value of Zip

You also get more money separating the motor from the boat. Selling them together, your just tossing the boat in for free. Separately allows you to get a little something for the boat. If you have not completed the boat, ... STOP!!!, sell the lumber not yet used separate from the boat. Raw lumber, y...

Realistically, ... (hang on to your seat) ... Probably 1/3-1/2 of what you have in it.

Re: Tiny Titan Build - Bow Complications

Possibly frame (2) was put on the wrong side of the line considering your error and the frame are both 1/2". I agree with slug, ... lengthen the bow pieces. Did any of your measurements change between frame (2) and the transom that you'd be willing to admit to, ... ?

Re: The Freebie Zip

Well, it's to hard to gather friends and family to hit the water. I was only able to take the Sartan out once last year and MAYBE once this year. It just seems silly to keep 2 built boats and 2 uncompleted boats around for just one outing a year. Simply, it's just to much money just sitting around d...

Nope, ... Not lately.

I'll bet getting rid of it shortly as I just have way to much on my plate to deal with it.

Re: Tack rag

We're looking at this the same, but from different ends. I avoid water until the 3rd coat. I dont want to chance moisture getting into small pin holes. If that happens, I have to wait a few days for it to dry out otherwise you risk blisters and fogging. Acetone or Alcohol will evaporate within minut...

Re: Tack rag

Hi Billy, Ok, that is with Systems 3 which I don't think I have used that brand. The scary thing is it says to use compressed air and not to use acetone. I would be more concerned with the compressed air shooting oil particles at the surface, and I certainly would not use an air hose if I could not ...

Re: Tack rag

To lift the dust, ... um I do, I just lightly dust with it with no hand pressure. It picks up the fine dust before I coat it. I make sure I don't use a fresh rag but one that has been used to remove primer dust so I dont contaminate the the surface with a soggy tac rag. I haven't had any issues doin...

Bob,

If you sanded it, ... then use a "Tack Rag". They can be purchased anywhere you buy paint and they cost about a buck. If it's still green, your good to go as previously stated.

Re: Sweating while using epoxy

When using liquid epoxy after only a few minutes I break into a profuse sweat. Just pouring off me, yet when I use gel epoxy I don't have a problem. Is it just me or do others find this too. Curious? Tony from Tiaro Tony, I'm like you, the water works turn on. I just try to limit the drips in the e...
