Re: Huck Finn Deck Position
I'm decreasing the beam by 2' and mounting them so the edges will be in the center of the pontoon. This configuration would resault in an overall width of 7'6". I understand by decreasing the beam I could possibly lose stability, which is why i'm considering mounting the deck on the centerline of th...

Huck Finn Deck Position
Im planning on building one with deck dimensions 10' x 6' instead of 12' x 8'. I understand that buy moving the pontoon closer and mounting the deck flush with the outer edges in width it makes it legal to tow on most roads and comply with DMV regulations. My question is: Are any advantages to mount...

Super Huck tritoon question
I have been studying the specs for the Huck and Super Huck awhile now. I've pretty much decided on the Super Huck design. I want to a tritoon model with the center toon longer aft with the motor mount included. I'm actually going to build a standard pontoon boat layout with a 10' beam and an upper d...

Re: New guy building modified cascade
Hey, great job on you're camper! You're moving along very fast! Sorry for the slow response. You said you were using 1/4" plywood on the inside and 1/8" on the outside. Have you purchased the 1/8" yet? If so, where and what did you use? I can't find any at my local hardware/lumber stores, or the 'bi...

Re: New guy building modified cascade
Hey, project looks great so far. I'm in the process of redesigning and combining two of the plans (Importer and Acupulco) and I was curious which fastening process you are using to join the frame member pieces together? Are you using the suggested method with the corrugated staple fasteners, or some...

Aluminum Tubby Tug
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone know's if a Tubby Tug has ever been built in aluminum? I'm curious if it's even possible. I wonder how the plans would have to be altered to accomplish this. Also, what type of alumimum should be used for freshwater applications and what gauge. Any thoughts wo...

Sytem Three plunger pump
This is my first boat build and I'm ready to order my supplies. I just have a quick question.... I'm ordering the Poxy-shield for my boat and wondered if you can use the System Three plunger with it. Is there any advantages of using it with the Poxy-shield? Do I actually need it? Kinda clueless here...
