Re: Tom's Tahoe

I struggled with the seats, also, as I think many other boatbuilders do, too. Going with a pedestal that adjusts up/down and forward/back takes a lot of the anxiety of worrying about getting it perfect. You could box in most of the pedestal if you don't want it to show.

Re: Tom's Tahoe

Tom, the boat is looking fantastic and I really enjoy seeing all of your aesthetically pleasing and intelligent design features. I'd thought about a glove box also, but realizing that I had plenty of places to put items that needed to be protected or concealed, for the dash, I chose to go simply wit...

Wow, Wow, and WOW!

Great job Denon. Fantastic job fairing your deck to begin with, and then color sanding and buffing to the mirror finish. :D

Re: Florida Malahini Build

Welcome to the forum. Great picture of you and your Dad. I expect working on this project together will build great memories for a lifetime (in addition to a boat). I think a beefed up transom is always a good idea. By the way, if I build another boat, I'm also going to increase the transom angle to...

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

You're just so close to slapping on motor on the back of that bad boy and taking her out for a cruise. I might have to take a road trip to Austin.

Re: Rampage update 2019 - Final year?!

Congratulations Denon! :D

The boat is quite unique with its curved coaming and contrast of dark and light stains. She's going to get lots of attention at the dock.

Looks like a great color combination, and great work on the windshield. Really looking forward to following your build.

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

So instead I am going to leave the anchor well open and only deck up to that frame. Later I will add a snap on cover to cover this area. I can't say I'm crazy about this idea, but I probably don't understand it. Knowing that you've been living and breathing this project for a while, I'm sure what y...

Congrats! That boat has great lines and am surprised not more of them are built.

Fantastic job! :D :D :D :D :D

Would love to see some video when you get a chance for another boat or drone to shoot some.

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

I built a similar vacuum pump, though mine works off a venturi instead the moving parts pump. Having the pump along with a large heavy vinyl vacuum bag was absolutely indispensable in construction of the interior of my boat where I had numerous curved surfaces constructed out of veneered bent plywoo...

Re: New member from Louisiana

Welcome from another Louisiana (Baton Rouge) builder. That's a lot of boat, a lot of power, and sounds extremely exciting! Are you going to have twin props or connect both engines to a single drive? You'll be right at the edge on motor weight. Are you going to extend the hull length to compensate?

Re: Tuffy Build

I had that issue with TotalBoat primer. I left it on for a week and it never dried. I was told that I put the second coat on too soon after the first coat and even though it had dried to the touch, it was uncured and would never cure. I had to take to it with paint stripper. Your boat is looking fan...

Interesting concept you have there of "mustanging" out this design. Excited to see what you come out with.
