Re: prop shaft engine flange

Get a bushing that fits in the set screw holes and drill smaller pilot divits. This will protect the threads in the holes. Then you can deepen the marked divits on a drill press.

Re: CNC Conversion

Since wood species and density plays such a big part on how the boats ultimately get finished, it is really difficult to predict how any given parts need to be cut in order to accurately cnc them. You could build the boat the old fashioned way and scan the parts as built into a cad program and still...

Last year in our lake condo up in Manitowish Waters we had a similar bear picture in the living room. Must be a series of prints out there.

Re: Sheer Clamp question

I would put any butt joints in areas with the least amount of bend. Maybe add some blocking on both sides of the frame where you join so you have adequate material to screw into. Try to keep joinery symmetrical so bends stay symmetrical.

Re: Bob's Geronimo, scuffed hull help

You could go to 1600 grit to clean up the residue, but the 3000 should work. You can also find the waffle compounding pads in various diameters. Ebay and Amazon are good sour...

Re: Bob's Geronimo, scuffed hull help

I would use 3m Trizact pads (3000 and 5000 grit) and then compound and buff with 3m Perfect it with foam pads.
