Motor weight

How much less does a jet ski motor and pump weigh vs an outboard?
For the smaller boats its seems that the weight of the motor in the rear of the boat is more important than the horsepower. So if you are looking to build a smallboat with some good speed arent you better of with a jet motor?

I was wanting to build a small jetski powered boat. I like the appearance of the bullet which is setup for an outboard but the dynojet plans are specific for a jetski motor.
