Butt Joints on the Squirt

Ok. I've got my plywood cut and ready to be put on. My question is about the butt joints. Can I just put the pieces on with a small strip of plywood epoxied behind the panels or do I have to put them together with fiberglass tape?

I have no idea where to get it! I've checked everywhere in a 60 mile...

This place cost more to ship than the price of the wood!
