Re: Tom's Tahoe

Just passing on my learning about flush systems with a small issue I had with my water flush layout on my Tahoe 20. I used a Perko Flush which Im pleased with. Anyway, somehow I managed to leave the garden hose coupling sitting in the top of the inlet fitting, not removing it and hence not putting t...

Re: Aussie Belle

Hi Jamie, wow great work. I wanted to pass on a learning I had with my Tahoe 20 trailer and the winch post... in case it helps. The way my boat is set up when I float the boat off/onto the trailer the bow actually drops down below its final on-trailer level. This is with the stern floating. I guess ...

Re: Thinking about first build - Tahoe vs Monaco

Space is tight even with the stretched 19. I’ll pull some actual measurements of my layout and draw them on the photo for you. The mahogany veneer back rests are there because I wanted to use it as bracing. Also I realised I needed it for other reasons - I put in some fold down rear facing seats for...

Re: Thinking about first build - Tahoe vs Monaco

Hi there, this "almost finished" photo of my Tahoe utility - stretched to 20'6" may help with layout planning.
FYI - the rear seat cushion is sitting further out, the edge is much closer to the upstand when fitted properly.

And one from downunder. I started out as a civil engineer with a focus on reinforced concrete construction. Have been a strategist for a while now - I tell folks that engineering and strategy are similar... you start with the dream (vision) of what a building looks like, start the design at the roof...

Re: Tahoe 20 - New Zealand Progress

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing OK. It's winter down-under but cold and sunny is pretty nice here in Auckland New Zealand. I have a question about installing a fire port for the fire extinguisher in my engine cover. I have the Tahoe Utility and have an upholstered plywood glassed engine cover / ...

Re: Highschool Riviera Build Project

Hi Michael - as promised in my PM here's what we did but you should check Gayles plan post for the right plans and instructions for the utility. I wanted to make sure that the hull sides wouldn't flex at all so added the seats as built-ins as well..... - others may comment on whether that was necess...

Re: Tahoe 20 - New Zealand Progress

Thanks for the info Jenko - with the fuel ideas I went and researched the ECM - all this is new for me. I looked up the error code for both banks (Short-Term Fuel Trim - FMI 0 - High Limit). Doesn't seem that temperature was an issue which I was originally concerned about. Variable fuel quality is a...

Re: Tahoe 20 - New Zealand Progress

Hi everyone, does anyone have any experience with Johnson pump impellors on V8 marine cooling systems please. I have seen after market impellers which look similar to the OEM one, except the Johnson OEM version for my 350 Indmar has a notch out of the rubber each end, could this be to reduce pressur...

Re: Tahoe 23

I managed to get some Gopro footage of Butch Barto's Tahoe coming off the plane at G10 as we arrived at Chattanooga on the Friday. It shows the port spray rail along the chine working...unfortunately some spray hit the camera lens at the crucial point but I could put online if there is interest.

Re: Dave NZ Needs Some Help!

Yes all good thanks Bill.
I've been in contact with Bryan and we'll touch base on Thursday. I messed up my arrival time so at worst I've found out I can Uber if timing doesn't work.
Thanks. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Dave.

Re: Dave NZ Needs Some Help!

Hi Bryan, Bill That would be fantastic to get a ride, thank you. I arrive in Chatanooga on the Wednesday and plan on some sightseeing. So, I can get to a point in Chatanooga when and where suits you for the Thursday. If you can PM the details or your cell number, I can meet or I'll contact you close...
