Re: Cooling on mahogany inboard boats
that's interesting Bill. I didn't realize that the runabouts used a heat exchanger in them. So the coolant in the motor is not raw water? I know in the hot boats (tornado, rampage, etc) the coolant in the motor is generally raw water normally pre-warmed by cooling the exhaust manifolds first before ...

Re: Stretch a Coronado
My suggestion would be to call/email Glen-L themselves. Either that or stick with what the plans say. That way you are guaranteed the kind of results you are hoping for. I would hope that Radioactive or Greyfox have done this since so much time has elapsed since they first tried getting an answer on...

Re: Seat modifications for neck problems
Those plans should be easily modifiable. I'm not so sure about some of the material thickness's they call for on it though. 1/4" thick legs seem a little on the thin side as well as the 1/8" thick back material. Possibly the back is that thin to make it bend properly. If that is the case I'd definit...

Re: Seat modifications for neck problems
So it is the back of the seat that is too low? I wouldn't think it would be too hard to modify the seat plans to make the seat back taller. If you are looking for buckets instead of a bench there are plans online for making your own buckets seats that again I'm sure you could modify to suit your nee...

Re: Rampage Update 2017
Duane, I thought you had a tornado back in the day? Maybe a red one? Or am I getting my memories mixed up... Either way, I'd fully support a gathering from all of the Ontario / upper east coast folks! Man I wish I had one back in the day but no that wasn't me. Possibly you are thinking of Paul Mill...

Re: Rampage Update 2017
Well thank you! I just noticed you're not too far away...seems there's quite a few of us in Ontario! What lake do you usually run on? There does seem to be a few of us within 2-3 hour drive. Currently I don't have a boat. The closest water way from here would be the Trent river. Would be lots of fu...

Re: Inboard engine builds
That Cheap Swill article is a good one I've had it saved on my hard drive for years. Here is another one though it uses a higher cr than 87 octane would generally support. Possibly though, as Denon pointed out in his Rampage update thread, the typically cooler engine temps an inboard sees verses a s...
