Glad I am in Washington State, if you own your home you can get a building permit, plumbing and electrical permits (if you know what your doing) and build it yourself and get inspected just like with a contractor.. as owner/builder.

Because you stand at the console I don't know how the Coast Guard would look at this in a courtesy inspection... Also filling it were you are standing. What do you all think?

A good waterjet shop could do it including cutting a recessed pattern..... but cost is another thing going that way.

10 yards of pea gravel base for floor... can't believe I moved it all by hand... Should start on Gothic Arches next week. Two 4X8 tables to build arches and all on.

You are not only filling the weave but building strength, no primer is designed for adding strength only to fill pinholes, sand marks. Bill is totally right.

Early Spring update: What a cold and snowy winter... night temps are still just above freezing. Have 10 yards of pea gravel as substrate for concrete. If we don't get bunches of rain this week should have the gravel spread and leveled, and the remaining gravel put on the raised bed garden walk ways....
