believe it or not caber, that old chrysler 105 runs suprisngly well for its age, dont know how well it does in the water, hopefully going to drop it in the water tomorrow and see how it does. also, what would you hook the tach up to? the negative on the coil? or the tach hook up on the wire block? p...

lol, smart man!

i had to pull the flywheel off to change the timing belt, i cleaned the points today, get em to fire, the plugs fire, and i actuallygot it to crank a few times!

tried that with the second and third puller, and again now that its suspended in the air, no such luck, tomorrow im going to get some PB blaster and let it soak for a while

ok, so new strategy, ive got the whole thing suspended about 2 inches about the trailer, bieng held up by a motor hoist, and its connected to the flywheel.

still hasnt budged but ill let it sit there and soak untill its learned its lesson!

well, it helped a little, Dan, but still doesnt tell me if there is anything else that holds the flywheel down, i dont see anything in my partial repair manual, but this damn thing just wont come loose

do you pull the flywheel off a chrysler 105 outboard, i took the nut off the top, sprayed plenty of lube on it, and so far ive broken 2 cast aluminum harmonic balancer pullers, and snapped a grade 8 bolt, and havent gotten this thing to budge. is there something im missing? someone please help me, i...

67' 105hp chrysler 60 DOLLARS!!! AND IT RUNS!!!!

chrysler outboards worth anything?

ive heard since their not thru prop exhaust they are prone to shearing the key in the prop easily, and their not that good of motors. anybody had any experience with them, im thinking about re-powering my aluminum fishing rig with a 1975 55hp chrysler and using my 70hp johnson for my outrage project...
