Re: Klondike Build
Steve, Glad you got the winter damage and mess cleaned up. Hopefully there will be no more of that. 😎 It looks like there is quite a bit of work to be done for a March launch. But you seem to be able to get a lot of stuff done in a short time. 😳 Impressive how many skills you need to build a boat of...

Re: Squirt Finish Line
Hi Jim,
I filled the seams with epoxy and microbaloons, also. But I added some white pigment to the mix.
The seams are holding up great and I have hit some hard waves with my Squirt.
How about a picture Jim? ?☺

Re: Squirt in Minnesota
Hi All, It has been a while since I posted but I need to stress the importance of the skeg design. When I made my skeg, I made it to look nice.(first picture) I ended it 18 inches from the transom and at its highest it is 1 ¾ inches. My original design created to many bubbles for the prop and the ca...

Mixing hardener
I was consolidating stuff in my garage and I poured two of my Silver Tip Epoxy hardeners into one bottle. Then I noticed one was slow hardener and one was fast hardener. They both have the same mix radio with the resin. Will this cause me any trouble the next time I use it? Thanks for the hel...

Get well soon, Chris. Our prayers are with you.
I don't know what what my Squirt would look like if not for you. The world needs you vupilot.

Re: Squirt build, in northern Norway
Great setup you have, Fred. Out of the boat house and into the water.
It sounds like your 15hp has plenty of power and the right prop.
Your tilting explination was right on.
Sounds like you and your son have it dialed in.

Re: Where to find deck planking for squirt
I did the same except I used a bandsaw and then planed them all the same thickness. They ended up about 5/16" thick. I think Bill's 3/16" is I better thickness.

Re: Squirt in Minnesota
Matt, your boat flies! Great pictures.
Thanks for the info on the props. I might switch to a 4-stroke also. I'm debating on a 15hp or a 20hp. The old 2-stroke isn't running the best and a 4-stroke is so much quieter. And no mixing oil and cleaner. etc.....

Re: Squirt in Minnesota
Haven't checked the top speed yet. It seems fast though sitting down so far. I had a 5hp Suzuki years ago and it was a good motor. I'm interested in how your motor works with the larger prop. 30% larger is quite a bit. You might be passing every boat on the lake.
