Re: Barrel Back Build
Just got my plywood today. Tried Homestead, but shipping was $300.
Ordered from World Panel Products and shipping was $100. 3mm Okoume, was $48/sheet. Shipped from Florida, no sales tax. I'm pleased.
Dang, that is some thin stuff!!

Re: Barrel Back Build
Thanks folks. Got business web links to try? To be honest, I stopped the build 3 years ago after a cancer issue. I'm good, and doctor told me to get off my pity party and start living again. Best talk I ever had with someone in my life. And after starting fairing I also learned that I suck at sharpe...

Re: Barrel Back Build
Well, it seems 1/8" marine plywood is not exactly stocked at the local hardware store here in South Georgia....... I found a few places on the net, but shipping cost is crazy. Was hoping I could find something within driving distance of Douglas Georgia. Like Savannah or Jacksonville. Haven't found a...

Re: Barrel Back Build
Thanks Ya'll. Man, I am really behind after looking at others starting builds about the same time as me. But, I can learn from their work. First step before boat comes home is to turn shop back into a dry dock. Got some tools (big ones) to move around again. Might sell my 8ft cabinet saw. A smaller ...

Re: Barrel Back Build
So, after a couple years of being in a slump, and the thought of that dang boat beating me. I called my nephew and asked if he still had it. He said it is still sitting in his shed. Never touched it.
I told him to bring it back. I'll finish it or die trying.
Nice to be back.

Re: Building The Vera Cruise
Yes I got lucky and found out about this steamer from the forum. As long as you keep an eye on the water levels and refill with boiling water (if necessary) it works great. Steaming time is easily over an hour. You could probably go nearly 90 minutes before the water level gets too low. What I did ...
