Re: Woodworking bench

Hi Aaron,
Here's a link to a previous posting of the worktable I made. It's pretty simple and breaks down for storage.

Re: Tom's Tahoe

HI Tom,
I like it. It looks good on that boat. Perhaps a more modern look than the straight waterline that I often see. I owned a runabout with the same treatment of the waterline.

Re: 20ft Texas Barrel

Hi Matt, It seems difficult but is not that bad. If I remember correctly, original barrelbacks started with 4" thick pieces of stock for the coverboards near the stern, so shaping thick pieces is nothing new. I started with shaping the coverboards at the bow of the boat working my way back to the tr...

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

Hi Carl,
I got an email alert on a boat similar to the one you are building. Thought you might like to see the windshields and side windows.

Re: Tahoe 23 or ?

If you are checking out instruments, you might want to check out classic instruments from the link below. They have gps speedometers and hour meters in place of an odometer in their marine speedometers. When you get to their website, click on our products, and then universal fit guage sets, and you ...

Re: Tahoe 23 or ?

Here's a couple of more pics showing a bit more detail. Notice the sundeck over the engine compartment rather than the normal wooden hatch you might see.

Re: Tahoe 23 or ?

Here's a couple of pictures you might consider for upholstery design. Riva Boats interiors have a modern design on classic looking boats. Most of what I have seen are turquoise and white interiors. Kind of a Mimi Vice theme.

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Hi Neel, I used acound 90+ lbs with my raptor stapler. Make sure the feed is clean and well lubricated and the path where the staple is hit with the hammer to the exit. When I first started using the stapler, epoxy got into the stapler path and caused jams or no feeds. I had to take the front plate ...

Re: Tom's Tahoe

Hi Tom, Someone mentioned my name in vain, so I guess i'll chime in. Thinned famowood might work for you. It will take your stain. I have used it on my boat to fill brad marks, and it works great. I had a few small dimples remaining, and took care of them when building up layers of varnish. No...

Re: Texas Barrelback 20

Hi Steve, As mentioned in the previous post, you might consider fiberglass pipe. The hose is expensive. Instead of pipe, I got some ski boat mufflers that are tubes around 3 feet long. I also made some supports for them that attach to a frame so there wouldn't be any dips on the way to the exhaust p...

Re: Neeley's Barrelback - Sacramento

After installing the circuit breaker and bringing the wiring to the front panel, I completed the wiring to the fuse box. I also installed my GPS sending unit and calibrated it to the speedometer. Pics below:

Over the weekend I installed the second bilge pump, and the battery area perko switch and circuit breaker and related wiring to the front panel.

Re: 16' Ski Boat Restoration

Here are pictures of the "drop down fuse box" . There are two tabs protruding from the backside of the dash with inserts that the bolts screw into.
