Philippine Mahogany for Stringers

Starting to build a Gentry and have Honduras Mahogany for the frames and veneers but not the stringers. I was able to get Philippine Mahogany for the stringers but wondering about the color difference when varnished?

Encapsulating wood

New to this site and have been reading all the threads and now have a question as to why you build a weld boat out of Mahogany and then encapsulate it in epoxy....I helped restore a 1956 Chris Craft and the question of filling the bottom seams with 5200 came up,we passed on doing it because it would...

Re: Big Block in a Gentry

The reason why i thought about a big block is; i have a 427 AC Shelby replica with a 428 FE w/weber carbs and was thinking about building a new 482 FE with webers for the cobra!
A 383 sbc would be a great choice!
Thnx,
