Re: Ready To Replace Your Shop's Lights?

Hmmm... I remember seeing pallets of Freon for 99 cents a can in Kmart and Walmart knowing it was scheduled to be phased out. Never occurred to me that it would appreciate more than gold. What do ya'll think? Should I invest in tubes and ballast OR become an electrician? (Looking at 60 8 foot tubes ...

Re: Almost First Report

Gosh Jim, I hate that you drove that far only to be disappointed. I'm sort of on the other side of the fence. I've got too many unfinished projects & unmaintained belongings to take on another project, but I go to the Gathering as a total stranger to just hang out with a fun group of folks, eat grea...

Re: Boat ramp

There might be a little more local traffic this year. A friend who lives in the area heard it advertised on a local radio station. Bill...sorry I didn't get some signs made up this year. I'm gonna start early & have them ready for #4. If I'm able to make it at all it'll be a couple of hours Saturday...

Re: unbelievable

Apparently it's already viral! I overheard coworkers talking about it yesterday.

My wife & I wasted an hour last night watching that & other Britain's Got Talent clips on You Tube. You couldn't pay me to watch American Idol, but I wish they'd replace it with this show. It's great!

Re: Can epoxy be used to fix a leaking gas tank?

Guess I should have said there are 2 ways to fix this: internally sealed (Kreem and the equivalents) or external patch/plug (JB Weld & other epoxy putty gas tank sealers available at Walmart & auto part stores) External is cheaper & worth a 1st shot. If done right internal coats the inside of the ta...

Re: Can epoxy be used to fix a leaking gas tank?

The experts on the board will surely chime in, but I've had success with a product called Kreem on a rusty motorcycle gas tank. There are several similar products on the market, some epoxy some 1 part. Google gas tank sealer. When cleaning the tank it helps to put a lot of loose gravel & solvent in ...

best bet was the library #1 $ saver! #2 time saver - Go to your library on line & you can see what's available, reserve it & it'll be at the desk when you walk in. If it's not in their collection they'll get it on interlibrary loan. If you're not done with it before it's due, you can renew online. ...

I think sculpted wood scoops would be the coolest! (Probably the most difficult also) re syn oil: just so happens I had this very disscussion at the bike shop today while picking up my ride. He wasn't a fan of syn in anything but said the guys in his shop are split 50/50. A coworker of mine says it'...
