Re: Chugalug's BoJest

 Get to do more testing on "Chug-A-Lug today even though it's sitting on trailer. It's raining out so will check later to see if the top part leaks.I enclosed and epoxied around air intake pipes in the bulwarks.water should drain from open front part, through the bulwarks and out the drain holes...

Re: Chugalug's BoJest

:D Thanks,Matt. The paint job looks sloppy. It's hard to paint in cramped quarters.I painted JD select bottom paint to indicated waterline. it's pretty close with 10 gallons fuel.(1/2 tank)Some spots wore off from boat bumpers on Friday night. Will have to repaint in the spring.

Re: Thinking about my next boat build.. a river cruiser?

:D After you flip the hull, the cabin parts are bigger so easy to make. The top took 3 full sheets-the hull is 20- sheets of 1/4 inch :D the coaster has a flat bottom.might be easier to build.I used to have a homemade composting toilet in "Chug".but after reading requirements in Ontario, got other toil...

Re: Thinking about my next boat build.. a river cruiser?

:D I think you're looking at the"Titan". I like the looks of the"Coaster" only without the mast and sail.I know its a little bigger(25ft)Maybe with a 9.9 outboard-high thrust like mine IMG_1203[1].JPG Iread a few blogs on the great loop and some prefer a large sailboat with the mast removed.just run...

Re: Chug-A-Lug goes skinny dipping

:D Thanks folks. When I started the little motor it had a wicked rattle.discovered that all it was -was the control cables rattling-WHEW.Wind died down again tonight so pulled "Chug" out and put her where she'l spend the winter. The temps next week are supposed to be in the 30's for highs and 20's for...

:D It looks lopsided but I put 1/2 tank of fuel(10 gals) on that side.Might look better if I added 10 gallons water on the other side. :D Cindy says that people won't be lining up to be pulled waterskiing.

Re: Building The Vera Cruise

:( That's a bummer,Carl. If the front window was stationary, you could put hinges on middle post and have aft window open out like wind wing.On the old boat,I think there are 2 upright posts.maybe front window could open too.

Re: Frame construction

Is that frame on each side of centerboard box?I was reading a build in Wooden boat issue 168.shows how to build centerboard box and slot in keel. The box built on some of the Glen-l builds on here, look like it's located between frames. :D or is that line -the set-up line?
