Re: Hardtop or bimini

I suppose it depends on your boat model too.On my Bo-Jest,I extended hardtop back over stern seating and motor-will have roll-up screens and enclosure curtains too.I'm 6'3" so roof is high enough so I don't have to crouch down to get under :D

Re: Bo Jest renovation in Sydney

:D Thanks for the answer.I wasn't planning on installing drain plug either as lowest point in hull is for'ward.I'm trying to make it so rainwater won't be a problem, but don't know if it's foolproof.you might have a problem in the future too with that.do you have a tru-hull fitting?maybe for engine ...

Re: Bo Jest renovation in Sydney

was just looking at original build of your boat;Is the top peeling back or the whole deck?Maybe it's just the planks that are warping. :roll:How's the hull? Why was the motor underwater?hull has hole ?or thru-hull fitting or cooling hoses leak?

Re: Bo Jest renovation in Sydney

That's too bad about your project.Do you have pic of problem decking?I've been building my Bo for a few years now and since I didn't use marine ply,I epoxied everything inside and out with Cpes and epoxy shield.I got the Cpes from the "Rot Doctor" out of Seattle,Wash. That site might give y...

Re: fume ventalation system design question

:D A gas fume detector would be handy to have.also don't forget the water detector as well in case of hull leaks or water hoses on those inboard motors.the boat galley has a few articles on those.I'm gonna use those on "Chug" :DI think some of those gas fume ones can be wired to blower so ...

Re: Ventilation Info

not sure what boat you're working on,I'm working on a Bo-Jest which has a permanent fuel tank for'ward of the helm.the fuel vent is on the side of the hull.I've enclosed the back 3/4 of the bulwarks so have ventalation tunnels built in .I've mounted the blower under the helm and tubing stretched out...

Re: Roberta's Torpedo

:D I read the comment you submitted to"Woodyboater" on the Cobra.I like your boat far more than the "Cobra".It's got that funny looking bulbous bow, whereas yours is alot smoother and I was not too enthused on their fin -yours came out perfect.Just my opinion. :D
