G/Day well first coat of epoxy went on this is the first of 6 coats as this seals the timber and makes it stable while i do the other side then when most of the deck is done (except the hatch) it will get 12 coats of varnish.....John

G/Day well finished half the fore-deck now lots of sanding to do, then turn the boat around and do it again ......John

G/Day well started on the straight planking on the deck and i have raised it slightly to enhance the timbers i am using Sapele and Silver Ash strips between slow process keep having to make Alu extensions for the clamps............ John

G/Day well got a second deck plank on came in pretty good using Alu strips to hold it down and the clamps to pull tight .....John

G/Day well Silver Ash king plank is glued on also flat bent 20 mm by 10 mm Mahogany around the gunnel edge, no cracking so i was pretty happy this one will be screwed to hold in place while glue cures then i will remove and plug the rest of the strips (silver ash and mahogany) will be clamped pulled...

G/Day well put the dummy engine in to start to line the drive train up and make the engine mounts also got the front deck stringers on and faired.....John

G/Day well swim step is on for good and finished also put the exhaust outlet on and fitted, now making the inlet manifold for the engine this will take 2 40mm DLOE Weber carburetors all fun stuff now ............John

G/Day a few things done installed the rudder and skeg stained and varnished the inside so all sealed now, starting to permanently put the swim step on and putting the spare engine together so as i can fit the mounts and plumbing set the log up wiring etc
