Gathering 2019 (G13) Name Tags - ATTENDEES PLEASE READ

For those that would like them, again this year I will be supplying name tags for attendees of G13. But I need your help. If you plan to attend and would like a custom name tag, do a post in this thread. (I really prefer a post here rather than an email - keeps everything in one spot.) What I would ...

Re: gorilla glue

From the company's description, it sounds similar to 3M 5200 but it does not state if it is a polyurethane. It also states it can be painted which also makes me think it is not a polyurethane. I personally would prefer a polyurethane as I feel they are superior - but that's just my opinion. I have r...

Interesting Wood Find

Had a friend tell me his daughter was removing wood covering an 8’ x 20’ interior wall for remodeling. It was tongue & groove like flooring a little less than 3/4" thick. They were throwing it all in the dumpster and knowing I am a scrounger said I could have it if I wanted to go get it. He said the...

For me that "memorable" moment during construction of the True Grit was when I completed the framing for the inverted hull and stood back and looked at the robust yet gracefully sweeping lines of the wood structure I had created. I have built a lot of things big and small but nothing matched the fee...
