Re: Need a new home for my Monaco

Sorry to hear that Garry. Your boat is beautiful, I remember looking at the pictures of it back before I ever started building. Since you are under the gun on time you might want to consider look into www.bringatrailer.com a couple of us have had great experiences selling boats there.

Re: Tuffy Build

A bow handle on the front top of the deck can be used as well. But the angle of the strap will make that a compromise but that is what I did on my boat. Im sure some others that made a jig to drill a straight hole for this will chime in with some methods for that. Thats the route I would recommend a...

Re: New Member from Roanoke, TX USA!

Welcome!

The money/time difference is fairly small between boats only a foot or so apart in size. So build the one you really want and that fits your family and local water.

Re: Fisherman

There are some good reasons not the screw the sheer but I havent heard of not gluing them. Your stem to chine joint looks close enough to get by with as it is. Youll wind up fairing some material away from the chine to get it perfect it looks like but that should be fine.

Re: Fisherman

That is a nice and tidy build you have going here. The Fisherman is on my radar as well someday. Keep up the good work and photos. Glad to see BillyC has been able to give you the advice you needed.

Welcome, Minuet is a really nice design. Congrats on taking the plunge.
If you can post some pictures it makes it easier for others to give you help. You can only post 3 pictures per post and new members have to have a few posts before it will allow a new member to post pictures.

Nice boats! Both of you. I was going to say it didnt look like a Glen-L really. Glad Bill was able to ID it. I would definitely inspect carefully, clean it up and paint it and enjoy it again.

Re: New Memeber from SW Geogia

Welcome, Go for it! I built a Zip a boat just slightly larger than the FS. It cost a couple hundred dollars a month. The first month was obviously a little more to get started around 500. The scary part is to add it up at the end of the build. The cost for two people building the same boat can...
