A friend did that to his trailer fender too. He just cut the bent section off at an angle. Then cut the other side to match, never would have known if he didnt point it out.

Re: Utility build

Looks great! Keep it in a shady spot. I worry about the plywood rubbing your teal paint on top of the sheer. Maybe adhere the soft side of some sticky back velcro to the bottom of the plywood so the felt touches the paint and not the plywood touching the paint.

Re: Michigan Mahahini. Paint

Yes, you can use topside paint if the boat will not spend more than a few days in the water at a time. If topside paint spends too many days submerged in the water it can start to bubble.

Re: New member from oregon

Man, the quality was never over the top on these brackets but I didnt have near the amount of trouble with them you guys are, I guess the quality has fallen off.
There is definitely an opportunity for someone with the right knowledge to offer a better product.

Re: Bob's Geronimo - launch

Great Job! It really looks great there! It will probably be noticeably different with just the two of you so try it with a light load before you change too much. I'm sure some of the folks that run similar boats will give you some ideas on trimming but just try what you have a lot first and get to k...
