Re: Small block Chevy 400 heads??

Hi Weraror, Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would assume by mild, I'm thinking an engine using a hydraulic flat tappet cam and a reasonable compression ratio? Personally, I would recommend the Edelbrock E-Street 185cc aluminums. They're built with quality hardware and at 923.00 for the 70cc version, ...

Re: SLX 3 build

Hi Hoffer, That's a pretty cool looking cat project you've got going on. A couple questions and suggestions if I may? First, on your question regarding planking the hull. I looked pretty closely at the pics and I didn't see any longitudinals, or battens, between the shears and the keels on the spons...

Re: Dynojet?

Man, your Dynojet should run really good with that triple in it, and the boat looks great!! Thanks for the pics. My TNT was kinda back on the back burner until very recently unfortunately. I was planning on getting a lot done on it this summer, but the job I took this last March ended up with me wor...

Re: thinner side panels on tnt

Hi Matt, Just cruisin' through and I saw your question regarding the keel lamination.... I studied that part of the design pretty in depth while I was working out the details for mine, and I came up with the original schedule of 3/4" lumber backed with 1/4" (6mm) ply to be the best way to go. You ge...

Re: Matsully

Hi Matsully, welcome to the forum!

Another TNT build, and a jetski-powered one to boot! That's great!!
.... And by the way, don't mind the guy with the TNT jet tunnel hull. He's a couple beers shy of a six pack, but he's harmless for the most part.......

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Starting my first build with a jet TNT

Hi Berhendt, Sorry I missed this when you posted. My email failed me..... Cribbsy is actually the gentleman doing the Jet Zip, but I'd be happy to help as much as I can. I'm not familiar with the hull on the SP, so if there's any chance you could get a couple pics of the keel and pump intake area on...

Re: Jet Bullet

I like to over think things and complicate the hell out of them. LOL! Welcome to my world Kyle....... I don't think you'll have much to worry about with the 1200s performance in the Bullet. Fiberglass is a heavy building material for boat hulls. The Honda donor ski that I got for the TNT build had ...

Re: Jet Bullet

Thanks Kyle, I'm hoping that life slows down pretty soon so I can get back to the fun stuff And the model I posted was just a Google image I found to illustrate the delta pad I was referring to. :D One thing I just thiught to ask, have you measured the length of the Polaris powertrain yet? I'm guess...

Re: Jet Bullet

Hi Kyle, The flattened area in front of the pump intake is referred to as a "delta", and it helps on jet boats and skis to create additional hydrodynamic lift to the v-bottom hulls, and normally the deltas have a couple degrees of rocker to help lift the bow of the boat up for a better running angle...

Re: Jet Bullet

Hi Kyle,

Your Bullet should haul the mail really well with that 1200 triple in it. Nice!!

Make sure to post lots of pics, and asking questions to get help and ideas is a huge part of the fun with this forum. All great people and the wealth of knowledge and experience is amazing.

Thanks :D
