Re: Jet Bullet

I like to over think things and complicate the hell out of them. LOL! Welcome to my world Kyle....... I don't think you'll have much to worry about with the 1200s performance in the Bullet. Fiberglass is a heavy building material for boat hulls. The Honda donor ski that I got for the TNT build had ...

Re: Jet Bullet

Thanks Kyle, I'm hoping that life slows down pretty soon so I can get back to the fun stuff And the model I posted was just a Google image I found to illustrate the delta pad I was referring to. :D One thing I just thiught to ask, have you measured the length of the Polaris powertrain yet? I'm guess...

Re: Jet Bullet

Hi Kyle, The flattened area in front of the pump intake is referred to as a "delta", and it helps on jet boats and skis to create additional hydrodynamic lift to the v-bottom hulls, and normally the deltas have a couple degrees of rocker to help lift the bow of the boat up for a better run...

Re: Jet Bullet

Hi Kyle,

Your Bullet should haul the mail really well with that 1200 triple in it. Nice!!

Make sure to post lots of pics, and asking questions to get help and ideas is a huge part of the fun with this forum. All great people and the wealth of knowledge and experience is amazing.

Thanks :D

Re: Rampage Update 2017

Hi Denon,

Really nice job on your dash insert! I love the look of engine-turned finishes. A little extra work, but with great classic-looking results!

Re: Starting my first build with a jet TNT

Hi Denon, Yeah, it's been a couple minutes hasn't it? :D Still working on the TNT but progress has been slow on any actual building worthy of pictures yet. I've been spending a lot of time with the CAD program drawing up all the billet aluminum "bling" that i'll need for the TNT, like the ...

Re: Inboard engine builds

Hi Denon, glad to see you made through this winter in one piece (I hope...... :D ) Just a couple thoughts if I could In regards to doing new or used on the block, even if everything else is new, there is actually a functional benefit to going with a used block in that a used block will have gone thr...

Re: UK Zip Build

Hi Sproggy,

The work on your Zip is looking great so far. I really like how the transom turned out, nicely done!

I also really like your drive concept (but I've always been a fan of thinking outside the box :D ).I'll be following along and I can't wait to see it in action.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: New member from SE Michigan

Welcome to the club Chuck!

It's always great to have another Michigander here, and building a TNT to boot? That's awesome!

If this keeps up we're going to have to do a gathering up here in the very near future. :D

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Project-Squirt

Hi guys, That is really great! Building a Squirt will provide opportunities to learn not only woodworking skills, but a lot of other skills to boot, such as epoxy and fiberglass, fabrication, electrical, etc. (ESPECIALLY if you do it with jetski power). :D Have fun with it and if you run into any is...

Re: Roustabout Hull redesign To Accept Jet

Hi Joe,

You're gonna want to grab a copy of Glen-L's Inboard Motor Installations. It actually goes pretty in-depth regarding installing jet drives in wood hulls. It's definitely worth the price of admission.

Thanks, :D

Re: midengine

Hi jphil62, It definitely can, and has been done, but ....... Do you know what the honest weight difference is between the complete original engine as installed (with all the accessories and exhaust attached) and the 6bt in the same configuration? With the Regal originally designed as an I/O drive, ...
