Is it ok for my wider pieces needed for the frame on my malahini if I glue two, say 4" pieces to make a wider piece to cut my frame out of? I've looked through topics but can't find answer

Re: Klondike Build

Can't get enough of the pics of this boat! I showed this to a guy I work with while he was in mid laugh at my idea of building a 16' boat. He stopped laughing and hasn't made a snide remark since. Great example of a dream that is turning into a reality through hard work. Awesome job!

Re: Outside build (The drunk drifter)

Well I received the plans for my malahini in the mail and have been offered a small workspace next to which will be my outside build. I wish I had a place to build it all inside but I think I have it all worked out. Moved my tools in today and am trying to nail down some people who sell oak...

Re: Zip or malahini, or ... ?

Solid works is nice, just watch out putting it on home computers. I don't think it'll get to complex but the helix's and such that we use would crash a home computer. Just FYI

Re: Outside build

Hey just real quick, I don't have the plans for the malahini yet but does anyone know what kind of white oak is called for? Found 4/4 boards for under $3 bf but I honestly don't know which is what as far as quarter sawn and such. Really never had to know that stuff. I do have planer and table saw an...
