Considering making the trip to G10

I have never been to one of these but am considering going, It's about a 5-1/2 hrs drive. Are there normally many in attendance? Can I expect to be able to look at the boats up close and talk to the builders? Are there motels and restaurants in the area?

What is this???

Can someone tell me what this boat is, it may be a modification? The caption calls out a 1958 Ariston Riva but if you look at the engine hatch it seems to be located almost completely aft.

Scale width

Many barrel back designs are fairly narrow making side by side seating a bit cramp. What are the dangers or benefits of scaling the width just a few inches?

Round or flat top

I see many barrel back 19's made with flat decks, I really like the rounded style better. Is there a reason why some are different or just personal preference?
