I'm no expert but I don't think lithium batteries produce explosive gas. If you have to just put in a partition panel.
All batteries can produce explosive gas

Re: Electric barrelback!

what about a bigger prop? Since you have basically 100% torque, maybe something larger maybe a better fit for an electric motor.

Re: Selling on ebay

This is alot of spealized tools, that are my back ups/ used once/ spare ware items. Some vintage hunting gear and dive stuff. I figured I could sell the dive gear locally, but i doubt there is another cnc router near me that needs the parts. Its stuff I don't want to move.

does any one sell stuff on ebay regularly? With the up coming move I want to start getting rid of stuff that actually has some value( few hundred each.)

How much of a hassle is it?

Re: What size propeller shaft for a crackerbox?

All of the cracker box guys i know, ( granted they race them) run a direct drive. They want to use the prop as a brake into slow down. They don't even use a free wheel or throw out barring. I would recommend for a pleasure boat you do.

Might want too look at cable steering. Glenwood marine sells them, but if you have a metal lathe they are very easy to make

Re: Baltic Birch… Good or Bad Idea?

At that price is most likely 5 ply( the faces will be maybe .003") 6 mm ply is .236". I also doubt its 4x8 most likely 5x5 as that's a common size used for the back of cabinets.

Re: Sanding Grits,,,Finishes,,, Varnishes,,,Paints,,, that Wet Look,,,

I grew up as a painter... back when the union said I was able to use only a brush to apply paint. Then I remember when they allowed us to use rollers, and finally airless sprays. Later on I owned a cabinet shop and did 100% of the finishing in house. Most painters can not use a brush to save their l...

Inside curves can be sanded to shape using spindle sanders or sanding drums. Drums can be mounted on drill presses.

You can even wrap sand paper around a large wood dowel ( 25 mm +)and use that manually. It takes some effort, but it does work.
