seadoo hulls and pumps

anyone interested in seadoo hulls and pumps for jet drive conversions. I have access to a few hulls. i could cut the pump and motor mount sections and sell to anyone who might need or want one.
these are the older xp, spx, gtx, hulls with the 140mm metal pump and the 520-720cc engines.

Re: Dyno Jet

I know, but I only have room for one boat, and a 12' boat is it. Hopefully I don't want another, my dad on the other hand will probably want his own. Or for me to fix one of the jet ski's in the back yard.

Re: Dyno Jet

Went to my local boat yard, looking for seadoo parts. Guy was very interested in what Im building. Showed him the glen-l site. He saw the boat and knew they existed, but didn't know if they were home designs or what. Well he is gonna order plans also. He thinks im nuts for putting a big bore 1050cc ...

Re: Dyno Jet

wow, different angle on things. I was speaking of the grey plastic conduit. The conduit would run down the gunnwale and serve as support and a place to run wires to the bow for the nav lights. Another piece would go to the engine compartment for the ignition power wire, battery relay, bilge pump, bl...

Re: Dyno Jet

so just keep reciepts of everything to proove that I built the boat and certain items are not stolen. Keep in mind Im from an automotive background and this is very common. Just don't want any problems when Im finished and want to take the boat out. marine patrol is tough in my area.

Re: Dyno Jet

thats true, been a while since ive been out on the water. just don't want to hit one of those unmarked pylons thats out in the river near me. I have to go renew my boaters license. Would it be wise to save the vin plate and title from the jet ski for registering the built boat. Or do the plans come ...

Re: chine walk or associated problems

Back In 97 I raced kawi stand up jet ski's. Getting thrown off a boat at 70mph is not very fun, and some how another rider or your own boat seems to find you, some supernatural force that you get run over by something. Ive hit the water so hard one of those racing chest protector life vests from nam...

Re: chine walk or associated problems

was looking at other boat designs and the addition of chine rails is another option. Newer jet skis have chine rails in the hulls. heck my donor ski does. And yes the seadoo ski Im using as a donor has a large ride plate that is completely flat.

Re: chine walk or associated problems

hopefully the vts trim system that is on the seadoo pump will be usefull on keeping the bow down. Im planning on putting the battery and ignition boxes on the side opposite the driver to try to ballance the boat a little better. Not sure where Im going to put the tank yet. Was thinking of the possib...

Re: chine walk or associated problems

thats 100% true. id rather have the power and be able to control it than not have enough power to get out of a situation. My friend races 250cc outboard hydro's. He has blown over twice. he says you become a rag doll at those speeds. He is aproaching 120mph in a 10' hydro. my question though is chin...
