Hi There Sorry don't have any pictures, but i keep breaking them in half. in different spots. Usually get about two years before i break 1 or 2. Only way ive lasted longer is we bolted them right through hull with carriage bolts into the Batten every 12 inches. But since i'm redoing hull i don't wan...

Roustabout Transom Replacement

Hi All Had a quick question, I'm just about ready to remove my Transom for replacing. I have the new one cut and ready, plus the framing. Can removing the old one throw the boat out of alignment and if so is there something i should do to keep it all aligned. The hull and side sheeting is still on, ...

Hi Elliott Ill link the pictures i have so far, Im about to remove transom and install new one, then will need to flip and redo Bottom of the hull, had a bit of Rot down by lifting strakes and bottom of transom, so i figured i would just redo completly. Have all the new Mahognay coming for the Deck ...

Roustabout Hull redesign To Accept Jet

Has anyone else put in a Jet in the Roustabout and if so what mods were done on hull to accomadate the grate and intake.

Hi There

The Roustabout is a good build, I run one with a 350HP 383 Stroker with a Jacuzzi WJ jet, might be overkill on the HP but been running that way since 1969. Wonderful boat rides great, great for skiing behind etc.

Hi Elliot I'm just in the process of redoing the Roustabout my Father built it in 1969, I have it all stripped down and am just redoing the Transom, Decking, and Bottom Hull. Hi There When talking to my Dad who built her in 1969 he said it was a Polyester filler no epoxy products available at that time. He also mentioned that he has to replace the lift strakes quite often as they keep breaking. Ill be redoing all the hull fiberglass, ive stripped most of it just have bot...

So In the picture 3 and 10 is the rot, should I be replacing the whole transom, and the bottom of the hull.
