How to get the correct color on epoxy caulking?

I'm about to finish the deck om my Squirt, and I want the "white" epoxy caulking to have the correct color. Not bright white, but the more yellow look of old deck caulking colored by varnish and oil.
Are there any easy ways to do this, or do I have to experiment on my own ?

Sorry for hijacking, but that was a very nice design. Do you have a link or some more information on this one?

Re: Squirt hatch with Mini boot hinges

Thanks Bob You have another type of hinges than me. I have hinges from the Mini Cooper car. Same type as Graham and some other Squirt builders have used. They are to be mounted on top of the hatch. My hatch will have the hinges on the back of the hatch opening, not on the sides like you have. But yo...

Squirt hatch with Mini boot hinges

On my squirt build I have bought the Mini(car) boot hinges, as I see many Squirt builders use them. Can anyone please share some pictures or information about how to install them. How far out from the centerline shold they be mounted etc to get the right hinge-line. How did you solve the problems wi...

WC in "Death"

Here is something to practice this summer, maybe you can participate next year The "sport" is called Døds in norwegian. It is slang, but can be translated into "Death" or something. Points are been given for the most spectacular fall with the biggest splash. The landing technique is called "shrimp"....

Re: Convert small outboard from tiller to remote

It's a -85 model with tiller control. For use with a boat that uses tiller control, or sell it and buy a complete engine with controlbox and cables.
Unless you can have the parts for free it is not worth rebuilding.

Re: Convert small outboard from tiller to remote

The older OMC engines (Evinrude/Johnson) do not need extra parts to hook up. You just connect the throttel and gear cables on the outside of the engine. I have some OMC engines from late -50s to early -70s, and they are easy to hook up. Also have a Merc that needs a big rebuild with unavailable part...

Do I need to UV-protect epoxy under the deck area?

I have covered the interior hull of my Squirt with two coates of epoxy. Next is to mount the deck battens and deck. On the exterior I must UV-protect the epoxy, but do I need to do this under the deck area? Except for the cockpit there will be no direct sunlight on the inside of the hull. If i need ...

Check out http://www.wdlockwood.com I ordered test-samples of there waterstain. If you order five different colors they don't charge freight (important for me in Norway  ) I have stained my Squirt using only the test-samples, and I still have more left. Since I wanted a red mahogny-look I orde...

Can you put in some pictures of the boat and some pictures of the frames etc.
Here on the Glen-L site there are many people who knows a great deal about building boats with plywood. You will get some solid input.
