On lay???? Pattern laid on the surface and the epoxied on? That would probably work just fine. I wanted to do some decorative banding work around the cockpit ( think guitar sound hole) maybe a stylized compass in front of the cockpit?

Inlays on S&G Kayack

I would like to build a sea kayak using 3 or 4 mm sheets laminated together then glassed for rigidity and abrasion protection. Can I use multiple species on the decks top lamination for distinctiveness and beauty? How will that affect rigidity? Am I asking for some type of problem I don't know about...
