Re: Just curious?......

Hi,
I think a Monal shaft and a 24x24 super fine prop may cost near the price of a jet unit!

Re: Just curious?......

Hi,
I had a jet boat once, it was like driving on ice! I think they have come a long way since the old days. For performance you need serface drives like power boats.

Hi Dave,
It is being built at 1.50 in Canada! It looks amazing! I am sure there will be lots of issues along the way.

Hope this makes sense. I looked at Neals Palm Beach build and saw lots of extra frames, so up scaling say 25% would...

Re: Building with plywood

Hi,
When I build I am going to build in hard wood, frames and hull with epoxy. I don't want my hull made of plywood! Yes more time consuming and more expensive but it nearer how an old boat was made!

Re: 71c Velvet drive issues

Hi, First thing, is it a reduction box? There is a bearing inside the box that that runs one way and needs checking? This box is very simple and is very good bit of kit! One thing to remember is when replacing the front pump tha it goes back in the right place for your engine rotation it has arrows ...

Building with plywood

Hi all Happy New Year,
I am not a lover of plywood, but reading it seems a lot are! So maybe I am missing something. Frames in hardwood marine ply? Main bearers in ply lamanated so is it better than hardwood? For 1 easy to cut on a CNC machine.

Re: Let's be silly or maybe not!

Manafolds and bell housing we can fabercate, there will be more things but can get over them. Large flex coupling I have in stock new! I have had 25 ye...

Re: Let's be silly or maybe not!

Kens, I was hoping it would go a bit faster than that!! What do you dislike about this engine? I like American power, we have Lincoin navigator, Ford F 250 diesel, and a Jensen Interceptor that has American power! That I used to drive in the 70s! I can think other engines mopar 440 or 454 but ...
