They were very happy.They are too young to solo so i rode with each one at a time. The motor is a 1965 9.8 HP that runs very well after lots of repairs and configuring controls.On my first run the boat just would not plane. When i have to boar a hole in a finished surface i clamp wood to each side of the hole then drill. This insures that no wood grain is torn out you will get a hole with a crisp edge and protects your work from the forstner bit or hole saw ,walking across your surface. then tape and epoxy.

Well i was thinking about building a cedar strip canoe,then i saw Joshua Burke's videos on building the Zip. Got plans for Pee Wee and Squirt .It took about 6 months.Then i waited a year to install the engine and controls before the kids came . Frames are made with Southern pine plywood is 1/4 Okoum...

First Pee Wee test run

Hi i finished a year ago but grand kids couldn't come.Not so this year.All went well.Thanks to viewing these posts it all came together.
