Re: Advice on Tiny Might

Going to get the service manual for the honda ski and see how the water is routed to the engine. Know it has a water box but not sure of the particulars. This is going to be a blast no matter how its powered!!!! Cant wait to get the pics started!!!

Re: Advice on Tiny Might

Found some complete Honda jet ski engines on ebay for a descent price with low hours. Hard time finding the weight on the engine but the turbo models make almost 170 hp. Fuel economy on these engines is amazing(i've got one). Any pitfalls with installing this setup as far as the switch to a prop? (a...

Re: Advice on Tiny Might

The gentlemen's racer inboard just appeals to my inner gear head. The jet powered squirt just seems too small and the shape of the boat isn't as appealing. The machine shop at work might be able to build a set of headers using Dwain's idea for welded boxs. Inmate labor can be the most inventive or d...

Re: Advice on Tiny Might

Pictures of Mala. will be up shortly. All of your advice has been a huge help. May look at the jet ski engine route. Got a '06 Honda ARX with 300 hrs that has been bullet proof. Engine may still be too heavy though. Two strokes are lighter but God awful gas hogs. The 4 banger Honda has been observed...

Got a smart bunch of guys who need more of a challenge than bird houses and jewelry boxes! Got a former engineering student in my class and was looking for a way to vent the engine compar...

Advice on Tiny Might

I'm an vocational instructor and want to do a Tiny Might in our class. Have access to a machine shop but not to the extent of casting marine headers for say a honda civic engine. Everything else can be constructed in house. Any advice on exhuast for an engine of this type. Also, does direct drive me...

motor board for malahini

I'm putting a larger engine on my malahini and the instructions call for a 2.25" total thickness of motorboard. On the plans the motor board is 1.5" thick including transom. Is the extra thickness added all the way down into the transom knee? If so, the extra thickness must be cut from the knee. Is ...

4x8 plywood on malahini

Cant find 5x10 plywood. Can 4x8 ply be used on the sides of the malahini. If so, where to join all the pieces? Will need 2 butt joints per side. This is my first real snag so feeling pretty lucky.
