Interlux Brightsides over System Three Primer

Does anyone have any experience applying Interlux over System Three primer? I have a half gallon of the System Three primer left that I would like to use on the deck and would like to use Interlux Brightsides or Perfection for the paint? System Three says that it's primer is great for any quality ma...

Re: System Three Epoxy - Not Curing?

I started out with the Glen-L epoxy, but it was difficult to pour without making a mess, so I switched to West. I like them both. Only thing different is the brand of epoxy...

Re: System Three Epoxy - Not Curing?

Blair is right - the pumps are suppossed to come with a limiter so you can do the one pump of resin to one pump of hardener, but it was missing in the package. So two pumps of resin to one hardner is the what is specified on the directions.

Thanks for all the feedback.

Re: System Three Epoxy - Not Curing?

fortunately it finally cured - just seems to take a really long time. I purchased another brand of epoxy mixed two batches side by side and made some test pieces last night - this morning the System Three was still tacky and the other brand wasn't. I think it is just a characteristic of the epoxy, i...

Re: System Three Epoxy - Not Curing?

Thanks for the replies. Will try the heat gun route first, if no go I will sand off and try with new epoxy. Ordered a gallon of a different brand.

System Three Epoxy - Not Curing?

Does anyone have any experience with System Three General Resin not curing completely? I have been encapsulating some floor plywood and after 2 days the surface is tacky. Not really sticky, just tacky. I was extremely careful in mixing the correct ratios, made several test batches - first two was ta...

Re: How to title a Jet boat?

Depends on your location - For Massachusetts you can't register a boat unless you have a HIN (hull identification number). For the most part getting the HIN was fairly easy, you have to get a notorized document stating that the boat is homemade and where it was built - then set up an appointment wit...

Re: Stringer Wood Choice

Has the direction lever underneath, not sure if it is a 6 volt or 12 volt. How do you connect a 6 volt light to a 12 volt system?

Re: Stringer Wood Choice

Thanks for the quick replies.

Bruce the lamp is actually an old police style spot light and actually has Ford engraved in it. But I think it adds a nice touch and plan on keeping it. The black antenna is going, and a traditional horn will be installed.

Stringer Wood Choice

About to start re-habbing a 1966 Duo (old Fiberglass runabout) Floors, stringers and transom are naturally shot. What would be the best choice to use for stringers - White Oak or Douglas Fir or (Something else entirely). Used White Oak extensively on my Dyno Jet so was leaning in that direction. Als...

Re: Which doner?

I voted for the X2 - solely because that is what I used and have experience with that engine and set up. You will need to find a drive shaft from a kawasaki ts to shorten the drive train length. Also own a 96 Seadoo SP and it looks like this may be an easier conversion - this is based on the amount ...

Looking for some advice on an upcoming Mig welder purchase. After conducting a ton research and reading too much information on the internet, I have come full circle in my decision making process. Web Hosting - Document Build

It seems that the free web hosting sites are continually being shutdown. Yahoo GeoCities is scheduled for shutdown on 10/26/09 - Does anyone have any suggestions for a good Free Web Hosting service? Would just like to keep my build on-line for other's reference. Thanks.
