Re: Utility build

If you don't want to go with a Bimini top, perhaps a small boarding ladder so you can jump in and cool off!

Re: Jet Bullet

This is how I shaped the hull on my dynojet. The boat had a 12 degree deadrise. I started about 2' in front of the leading edge of the intake to smooth out any water flow into the pump.

That's an awesome plane!
Make no mistake- the spitfire was a badass! Both the spitfire and P-51 had to undergo some serious revisions to become what they were but even the early versions of the spitfire we're about even with the ME109.
Aside from the p51, it's one of my favorites!

Re: First time, full size builder.

Welcome to the forum! If you haven't seen it, I started a Dyno jet thread; http://www.glen-l.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14136 If you haven't started yet, I would recommend that you measure the angle of the transom of your donor ski where the pump mounts and incorporate that angle on your transom whe...

Re: Photobucket mess

This happened to me with my dyno-jet build. A previous builder had a lot of great build photos that I referred to a bunch but one day, poof, they are gone. I contacted the builder but he couldn't or wouldn't re-do the album. I can't remember who the web host was but it was real disappointing.

Re: Another Cracker box in Michigan

Well, not to much to report this week. All of the frames are made just need to do some sanding to final size the gussets. Instead of using the high price screws for the gussets I decided to try something different, not sure if I'll regret it or not, only time will tell I guess. Considering that it ...

Re: Michigan Squirt Build

I think you are right. My problem came from the color coat on top of the primer.
I apologize for my confusion

Re: Michigan Squirt Build

Your boat looks great! If I may offer a bit of cautionary advice, you may want to scuff base coats with something more than 320. From my experience, the 320 left a surface that was too smooth for the paint to "bite into" and bubbled up. Of course if you top coat before your base coat cures...

A word of strong advice:

Re: Rochester NY Zip build, a love story

I really enjoyed reading your post as it takes me back to my childhood. My dad was transferred to Rochester with the Xerox Corp. when I was in the 3rd grade. We moved to Pittsford and boated on Canandaigua and Kueka lakes along with annual trips to Clayton on the St. Lawrence seaway. Good times... G...
