Hi. No, I did not use the gantry. I used a hyd. jack to lift the boat up enough to put the dollies under. I took the hull outside to turn it over and I used the same dollies for that, so they were under the hull already, just had to lift enough to get the blocking out. The hatch doors are 1/2 inch p...

Hi Thanks all for your kind comments. Been busy getting her ready for the water. Going to be real soon. A few more pictures. Power is 150 hp mercury. Also pulled her out of the shop with 2 four wheel carts.

Hi Joe I have a 27' True Grit hull with a 170 hp cummins mercruiser diesel with a bravo 2 leg. Hull weighs 8500lbs with a 67 gal fuel tank. My top speed is 19.5knots, 9.8gph. I cruise at 2800rpm which is 61%eng load, 12.7knots and 4gph. Idle is 3.4 knots and .2gph. Too fast for our fishing trolling ...

Yes I'm building a Vandal 22 feet. I just started building again as I had to stop building for a couple of years. I am doing the finishing inside the cabin now. Sure you could go to 24 feet. You are welcome to come and see the boat, l'am on the Cedar side of Ladysmith harbour. Don

Hi Jerry I have the house and decks built and fiberglassed, faired and the first coat of primer is on , ready now for the second coat of primer, lots of sanding. I have the inside cabin floor in and all the hull inside coated with epoxy and painted. I'll post some pictures when I get the second coat...

Hi Jerry I made my keel 5" deep at the stern and 2" wide. I made mine out of ply. , with the bow section laminated with 1/4 " ply. and then 3 layers of cloth and epoxy( I like to use ply. ,because I think it is more stable when fiber glassing over). I stopped the keel at the stern at ...
