Re: New boat build

Ok here is how I cut the 12 degree angle on the bottom of the transom of the Pee Wee I am building with a table saw. You need a table saw with a slot on the right side of the blade. Cut a strip on hard wood to the size of your slot, make it fir snug enough to slide back and forth and not bind up. Cu...

I will be posting picture's to illustrating how I did it, tomorrow.

Re: New boat build

So in about 19 1/2 hrs I have traced patterns to 1/4" plywood to make cutting templates. Bought all the wood to cut out all the frame parts. Put my plywood patterns on all the parts and flush trimmed them all out using a router either by hand or in a table. By sanding the patterns to the correc...

Re: Cockpit Covers

So I see in one of the pictures the rear cover does not seam very tight.
Also does the water run off or pole in the middle.
Do they have wood bows that run from side to side.

Re: Tach

I do have a key switch in the dash that runs volt and fuel gauges. So getting 12 volts there would not be a problem.
I want to make sure that when wiring I do not do something that is going to short out what all ready charges my battery.

I am looking into putting in a flex coupler in my 1966 Cenruty Resorter 17ft mahogany boat with a 318 Chrysler. I had a shaft break in the coupling. I think that I have read here that some of the people building inboards have used them. Would like to get some imput on what you have used and cost. Th...
