Re: Somerset, KY Gentry

Thanks Sarnian. I have quickly learned that you have to plan a lot of things out before you can even flip one. Your Malahini is looking absolutely gorgeous by the way. I love that windshield. I have zero boating experience so all of this is a little intimidating.

Re: Somerset, KY Gentry

Thanks Jim that was exactly what I was trying to figure out. I think I was about to go blind trying to research that. I still want to make the trip up to see your masterpiece in progress.

I read about that little nightmare. I'm doing my best to learn from the group's issues and mishaps.

Re: Somerset, KY Gentry

Thanks Bill. I believe I have read you say that once before. My current concern is whether the 1" or 1 1/8" prop shaft diameter will be interchangeable with either engine setup as far as the actual mounting to the engine/ transmission. If that makes any sense. I believe I should be using the 1" diam...

Thanks Jim I will give you a call soon and set it up. I think looking at your setup will help a lot.

Re: Somerset, KY Gentry

Thanks Neel I appreciate your input. I wonder if that 1" shaft will also work with a 351. I am assuming it will with a possible alteration to the transmission. But I am still a little unsure.

Re: modified malahini

Sands35, here is what I am doing. There may be an easier way, but this works for me. 1) I placed the board to be fit behind the board below it before epoxying the lower board so I can mark where the joint will be. 2) I cut as close to my mark as I dare with my jigsaw. 3) I attach the board to the h...

Re: Barrelback-20 Louisville Kentucky

I agree Mickfly that bottom looks great! Thanks Kens and Mickfly for putting that option out there. You are making my choice for bottom paint difficult. I was thinking of using the Total Boat Krypton bottom paint but now I am reconsidering. Does anyone else have a product they would recommend?.........
