go for the band saw, built mine entirely with a circular, didnt get a table saw till the wife decided she wanted wooden floors in the house :roll:

thats all it was,,exterior ply they were selling as marine plywood, wasnt stamped as marine just as exterior ply they were selling as marine plywood

i got my mahogany from suwaneelumber but the marine ply they were selling was nothing other than exterior grade plywood you could buy from lowes

i used wood flower in the boat other than the outer layer of ply,,,since i planned to paint anyway i drove screws in, that left hundreds of screw heads to fill, used good old all purpose flower for that and found it lot batter than wood flower,,doesnt shrink, found it lot easier to sand than wood, a...

at $30 a gallon the paint is outstanding,, laid down as smooth as a sheet of glass,, problem has been keeping the dust off,, too frustrated to do it again,,figure it can wait till i bounce it of a dock a few times :lol:

know how you feel,, had to move mine 15 miles down the interstate,,,took 9 guys to load it ,,,only problem we had was when the trailer hitch came off the ball about a block from the old house,,,bruised her nose just a bit

I had driven by the place a thousand times,, but all you can see from the interstate is a few boats in a fenced yard,, thought it was just a storage yard till i got the name and number from my upholstery guy,,,,the guys name is Jim Forrester, number is , 864-845-5526,,,

five years into my build i find a salvage yard 25 miles away,,, I 85 in greenville SC.,,, :( the man has 85+ small boats he's dismantling now, tons of old outboards, inboards and parts,,,,said he won't mind having he's number and name published to our group,,, if there is any interest , will be happ...
