We use Loads of different Loctite products. On our very sensitive Subsea Controls Systems, they must be flushed to a NAS Class 6 or better. What is that you ask? We have guys all the time that over torque fittings. Most of the time, in a situation just like you have there, guys will take a short cut and not hold a back up wrench. My motor has a 1/4” hose coming from the oil pan drain. The hose is just long enough to stick through my drain hole which is just in front of the motor.
