Glen-L 25

Ithe first boat I have (and still) built is the glen-l 25 solo. Its not hard just real bulky I think the 44 may be a bit muck on the pocket book. Give a smaller sailboat a shot

Well I use 1/8" or better that way your not applying to much heat! alum and heat don't mix to well :)

Yep you sure do and they are a bit spendy about 4 times that of 6011. but they work well. You will want to have real good air flow LOL they stink! I think the ones I have are from esab.

Hi There You can weld alum with a stick arc it is a bit cheeper for the welder but the sticks cost abot 3x that 6010 sticks. Hi There, Well anything is possable, the concern I would have is weight! Yanmar makes alot of these, but then agine it comes down to weight. a 5 to 10 hp outboard is pretty light, and with the outboard you can lift it out of the water reducing drag! I was considering the same thing for my glen-l 25 ...
