Re: Tahoe 23 prop size?

Rich, I thought so, as well. The 12 made it jump out of the hole. I noticed with the 13 I get a little tail wag it seems during holeshot if I throttle up hard. I don't know if that is normal, but I don't plan on doing that often. Midrange acceleration is pretty impressive to me.

Re: Tahoe 23 prop size?

After running the 13x12, I found that it would allow the engine to exceed the max WOT of 4400rpm. I'm not sure by how much, because I didn't allow it to happen. I had more throttle left, and was running mid-upper 30's mph at 4400 rpm. Test run 2 was with an Acme 13x13. Max attainable rpm was 4200 wi...

Re: 2018 Dates

ON. MY. CALENDAR. As the #1 place to be in Sept 2018! I really hate I missed this year, but we did enjoy our 2 week 'Merica drive. It was a rare opportunity to drive the country and see the Rockies (Tetons and Glacier National Parks) so I had to do it. Because the wifey said so.... See y'all n...

Re: Tahoe 23 project, Norway

Are you talking about the subdeck, or the hull? The subdeck is attached with bronze ring shank nails. What most are doing, myself included, is to attach the hull ply layers using the Raptor plastic brads or staples. They hold the ply until the epoxy cures, and they don't have to be removed. You *cou...

Re: Tahoe 23 Georgia build

I probably used up my 9 lives on projects this big! An overnighting cabin cruiser sure would be nice, although I'm not sure the rear admiral would give it the green light......

Re: Tahoe 23 Georgia build

Thanks, everyone! Steve, I didn't put a back seat in. The rear admiral and I discussed it, but decided it was impractical for our personal use. We opted for more wood.
