No belt sander on your finish planks ! :shock: Reason being to harsh of a machine and you will never get the hull correct, if your not a professional highly possible to majorly gouge your finish planks.Use custom/ home made manual flexible long board sanders with correct paper. Jeff New mercs now are totally different than what you're use to. Engineering is amazing for one also you can't even hear them run there so quiet. I'll look around for pics of my skeg. I believe it's 2' off the transom skeg is about 5' long and tapered from low to high then back down. My boat corners very well with this.
