I turned mine just around the corner to give them a little more stiffness. But, not across the transom. These are a real challenge to fit! They curve in all 3 direction at the same time! Lots of time with the bench sander!

I don't see that it matters. What matters is that they are the widest part of the boat aft. They hit the dock before the rest of the hull does.

Cribbsy I went to the box store and bought a piece of molding to aid in fairing, about 3/4" x 1/4" x as long as you need. I used this as an initial guide. Then, I fair to the eye. Finally, I use the molding to assure that it lies smoothly against the chine or shear. You can force it down s...

Am important component of this is flex. Our boats are built to have very stiff hulls. In restoring old boats it is recommended not to fiberglass the hull. The old hulls were flexible.
